Monthly Breakfast
 
Monthly Breakfast will be held the second Sunday of March & April  South Creek Lions on Route 14 in Gillett will present a breakfast for the public. The menu includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, toast and sausage gravy along with coffee, orange juice. Cost is $8.00 per meal doors open 7am-10:30am.
 
 
 

Dinner

The South Creek Lions Club will present a Lasagna Dinner and Dance on Saturday February 21st. The menu will include salad, bread and a dessert with coffee and tea available. Doors open at 5pm. Dancing from 7-10pm. Total cost $9.00 per person. Bad weather date is Saturday February 28th. For more information call 607-215-1631

 

Swiss Steak Dinner

The Athens United Methodist Church will be having a carry out Swiss Steak Dinner on Tuesday February 17th 4:30-6:30pm. Adult dinners are $10.00 each.  The menu includes swiss steak, mashed potatoes, vegtables, cole slaw and rolls.

The Towanda Fire Department is having an all you can eat Breakfast on Sunday February 22nd at the Fire Department. The menu includes scrambled eggs, home fries, pancakes, french toast, sausage gravy, biscuits. Coffee, Tea and Orange juice. Cost is $8.00 Seniors $7.00  Children $4.00.. Proceeds benefit the Towanda Fire Department.

Beer & Wine Fest

The Waverly Business Association presents a Reer and Wine Fest on Saturday February 28th from 5-8pm at "The Loom" 439 Waverly Street in Waverly N.Y. Tickets available in advance at the Jolly Farmer, The Rail House and Waverly Liquor and Wine.

Square Dance 

The McNett Country Band will be at the Tioga County Fairgrounds exhibit Building on Saturday March 7th at 7:30pm. Admission $7 per person $12 per couple.
 
Sportsman's Dinner at MPWC
MT Pisgah Wesleyan Church will be hsoting a sportsman's dinner on Saturday March 7th. Join in for the Mt Pisgah Wesleyan Church Big Buch Contest Finale awards presentation and enter wo win a customized Savage 243 rifle. Childrens House 
The Chicldrens House of bradford County is sponsoring 2 events with the Harlem Wizards on Monday March 16th as the Wizards take on the Hometown Championss at the Commons Building in Troy. Door opens at 6pm with the game starting at 7pm. Then on Tuesday March 17th the Wizards will play the Athens Hometown Champions at the Athens High School. Proceeds from both events support the Childrens House of Bradford County. Are you aware

Are you aware that the Gymnasium at the "Commos Building" at the Troy high school is open each weekday morning(that school is in session" for walkers? Walk at your own pace in a safe enviroment from 6-7:15am. Admission is free and all are welcome.
 

Meat Show
 
The South Creek Fire Department will hold it's annual Meat Show on Saturday March 28th from 5 thru 10pm at the Fire Hall in Fassett. Plenty of door prizes and a live pig raffle. Donation $2.00 in advance $5.00 at the door. Food and refreshments availablle. FMI call 570-529-0826 
 
Rodeo
The Monroeton Fire Company will again be hosting a Rodeo in 2015. Your invited to attend on September 13th. More information will soon be released.
 
Beacon Lodge
 
PA Lions Beacon Lodge Camp has announced its 2015 camping season. This season marks 67  consecutive years of camping. The camping season opens June 6, and closes August 11. Camp sessions  are six or ten days based on eligibility criteria. Beacon Lodge is located in the beautiful mountains of central Pennsylvania, along the Juniata River.

Are you aware that anyone in Pennsylvania who land applies manure, via pasture or mechanically, is required to have a manure management plan? This would include something as simple as one horse. Although required, these plans can be very quickly and easily put together. They can even save you money. They are also YOUR plans. They will be kept in your files and will help protect you if for any reason DEP were to stop at your place. The Bradford County Conservation District is here to help you with those plans.
