Benefit
 
A Benefit is being held to help raise Money for Brenda Allen who is battling stage 4 breast Cancer .  The benefit is being held on December 21 from 1-5 at the Towanda American Legion .There will be a  spaghetti dinner which is 8.50 for adults and children 7 and under eat free, They will also having a silent action and bake sale , Santa will be there from 2-3:30 , .  FMI call  at (570) 419-2559 or (570) 928-9101 Brenda has 2 children at home ages 17 and 12, Brenda is a 1992 Graduate of Towanda High School.
 
Breakfast 
 
An All You Can Eat Breakfast will be held on Sunday December 28th at the Towanda Fire department. Adults $8.00 Seniors over 65 $7.00 4-10 $4.00 under 4 free.
 
Towanda Elks 

 
The Towanda Elks will be holding a New Years Eve Party at the The Towanda Elks Club. The Band Facing Traffic Will be playing from 9-1 Tickets are on sale now at the Towanda Elks and Are $10.00 there will be light snacks available. Doors open at 7pm.
 
New Years Eve
The South Creek Lions Club will be holding a New Years Eve Party on December 31st from 8pm-12:30am. Snacks will be available. (byob) Music provided.
 
New Years Eve
The Sons of the American Legion will be holding a New Years Eve Party 9pm-1am at the Vets Club off Prospect street in Troy. Cost is $10.00 per person snacks will be provided. Night Flight will be performing. Tickets available at the door.
 
Monthly Breakfast
 
Beginning Sunday January 11th and continuing the second Sunday of February, March & April  South Creek Lions on Route 14 in Gillett will present a breakfast for the public. The menu includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, toast and sausage gravy along with coffee, orange juice. Cost is $8.00 per meal doors open 7am-10:30am.
 
Addiction Recovery
 
The Open Arms Community Church of Bradford is launching an addiction recovery program, starting around the new year. The church is in the process of gathering and training volunteers for the Celebrate Recovery program, that will in turn allow people to be honest, open, encouraged and supported. Blood Drive
 
On January 7, 2015  Jeld-Wen Fiber Division -- Towanda Plant (former Masonite plant) is hosting a Blood Drive for the A.R.C from 11:30 until 4:15 at their facility. This event is open to the public.
 
Rodeo
 
The Monroeton Fire Company will again be hosting a Rodeo in 2015. Your invited to attend on September 13th. More information will soon be released.
 
 Beacon Lodge
 
PA Lions Beacon Lodge Camp has announced its 2015 camping season. This season marks 67  consecutive years of camping. The camping season opens June 6, and closes August 11. Camp sessions  are six or ten days based on eligibility criteria.
Beacon Lodge is located in the beautiful mountains of central Pennsylvania, along the Juniata River.
