Wells-Jackson Lions Club is sponsoring a chicken and biscuits benefit dinner on
Friday, May 17, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at the
MillertonWesleyan
Church,5174 Main Street,
Millerton, PA. This dinner is for the benefit of the Jim Young family
and is open to the public. The cost of $8.00 and $7.50 for children and seniors
includes beverage and dessert. Take-outs are

Historical
Theater
The 2013 Roving Historical
Theater production, "Treeline Fever," will play up the congruities and contrasts
between the current "boom time" of the Marcellus Shale gas drilling and the
lumber industry boom that swept Sullivan County a little over 100 years ago.
"Treeline Fever" will be performed May 31 and June 2 at 7 pm, and June 1 at 2
pm, at the Russian Hall in Lopez. Tickets are $9 in advance, $10 at the

Childrens Fund
The New Albany Area
Children?s Fund is hosting an exciting, fun-filled day of fishing for kids and
their families. Community youngsters ages 4-13 are invited to come out to
Behrend-Wiles pond in New Albany with their fishing poles, tackle boxes and bait
and take part in the Annual Charlie Wiles Memorial Kids Fishing Derby from 10:00
? 1:00 on June 1, 2013. In addition to free fishing, the day will feature food
and beverage, prize drawings and a casting contest.

Tails No Kill Animal Shelter will be holding their annual rummage sale on
Saturday, June 1 from 8:00am until 2:00pm at 1922 Pennsylvania Ave. in
Sayre.Items for sale include perennial
plants, baby and kids?clothes, baby equipment, toys, books, furniture, household
goods, and more. All proceeds will
benefit Happy Tails and their programs.

The 18th
Annual Motorcycle Fun Run to Benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters
will be held Sunday June 2nd, (Rain or Shine) starting at 9am at Sherwood Groves
in Wysox on Route 6. Registration 9-10am $10pp includes Lunch & Door Prizes.
This is a Dice Run for 80 miles. Big Brothers Big Sisters serves Bradford, Sullivan

YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION
VALLEY YOUTH SOCCER ASSOCIATION is currently accepting registration for
this fall season. All children from the ages of three through 14, with a birth
date before August 1, 2010 and after July 31, 1998 are eligible. Registration is

Registration is $40 per child from May 16 through June 16;
if you register by May 15, you receive a $5 discount per child. There is
Family max of $120 through June 16. Those that
register after June 16 and before July 31 will incur a
$15 late fee. The late fee increases to $35 per child if registered after July
31. NOTE: Your child is not guaranteed a spot if you register
after June
16, so please register on time.
Touch-A-Truck
Touch-A-Truck this is an event that you and your family
won?t want to miss! The fun begins on Sunday,
June 9, 2013, starting at 8:00 am to 3:00
pm at the Bradford County Airport,
RAIN OR SHINE. Cost is $5.00 per person, maximum
$20.00 per family. Touch-A-Truck is an
experience that children and adults love. Come and see up close your favorite
vehicle, get a picture, talk to those who operate or own those vehicles. There
will be Tractors, Postal, Tow, Fed-Ex, Cement, Dump Trucks, School Bus, Back
Hoes, Front End Loaders to name just a few. Bring your camera and sunscreen for

The Tioga County N.Y. Open Door Mission
and The Red Door will be providing free food for those in need beginning on
Friday February 8th. The food distribution is open to all people in need and
will take place at The Red Door located at 359 Broad Street in Waverly. The
distribution will take place every other Friday. Please bring your own bags or
boxes.
