Community Yard Sales

Community Yard sales will be held in Roseville, PA on route 549 (10 miles from Mansfield), Saturday May 30th 8am-3pm rain or shine. You never know what you will find...hunting supplies, clothing, gardening items, furniture, tools.  A treasure for everyone! 


Street Sweeping

Troy Boro Officials have scheduled the following dates with NTSWA for street sweeping.  Street sweeping is generally completed between 4 am and 8 am to avoid higher traffic volume.  Dates may be adjusted to better fit NTSWA’s schedule or for weather conditions at NTSWA’s discretion.  These dates are also listed on the Troy Borough website calendar.

Story Hour

Supper
The Wysox Volunteer Fire Co. will be hosting a Chicken and Biscuit Supper on Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the hall in Wysox.   Meal is complete with mashed potatoes, cole slaw, vegtable, beverage and dessert.    Come on out and support the local fire department.    Please note this will be the last one until fall and we would like to thank all our wonderful patrons who supported us this past year.
 
Golf Tournament
The Ridgebury Sportsman's Club will be holding a "Golf Tournament" on Sunday May 17th at Tomasso's Golf Course near Waverly on old Route 17.  8am Shotgun start. To sign up call 570-596-4373 or 570-596-2099.
 
Clay Shoot
There will be a sporting clay shoot on Sunday, May 17, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Valley YHEC, Route 187, Rome, Pennsylvania, four (4) miles North of Wysox, one (1) mile South of Rome.  Public is welcome.   Cost is $6.00 per round.  Lunch available.  Contact info:   Raymond Finlan, President, (570) 265-2728. 
 
Burman School

There will be a meeting at the Burman School, Fallbrook Road, Armenia Mtn.,  on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 6:30 p.m.  Anyone with an interest in restoration and preservation of this school building are encouraged to attend. Call Beth Horning 570-297-2391 with any questions or comments.

Clay Bird Shoot
A Spring Clay Bird Shoot to benefit Relay For Life will be held on May 24th 12n-4pm at the Tri-County Sportsman's Club. For More Information call 746-7144.
 
Community Park Day
The 7th Annual Community Park Day will be held on Saturday June 6th at the Ridgebury Township Community Park. Free admission events all day starting at 12n, including Cow Pie Bingo, Dunking Booth, Moon Bounce, Face Painting and more. Lots of delicious food. Proceeds benefit future park enhancements.
 
Spring Fling 

The Bradford County Manor's Annual "Spring Fling" will be held on June 13th from 10am-3pm. There will be plenty of food, crafts, music  and fun. The public is invited. Vendors are needed please call for more information 570-297-4111 ext 3038.

Relay For Life

Thw Wyalusing Relay for life will be held on Saturday June 13th 10am-10pm at the High School. This years theme is 60s fashions. Wear your favorite clothing from that era.Childrens events all day, A Classic Car Show from 11am-4pm, Sock Hop 4pm-8pm. Baskets Raffles all day. Lots of food and fun. FMI call 570-637-2041

Golf Tournament

The South Creek Lions Club is holding a  "Golf Tournament" on Sunday August 16th at Tomasso's Golf Course near Waverly on old Route 17.  Registrationis at 12:30pm T Time start at 1pm.This is a fund raiser to help the Lions Club with activities in the community. The Monroeton Fire Company will again be hosting a Rodeo again in 2015. Your invited to attend on September 13th. More information will soon be released.
 
Beacon Lodge
 
PA Lions Beacon Lodge Camp has announced its 2015 camping season. This season marks 67  consecutive years of camping. The camping season opens June 6, and closes August 11. Camp sessions  are six or ten days based on eligibility criteria. Beacon Lodge is located in the beautiful mountains of central Pennsylvania, along the Juniata River.

BCCD 
Are you aware that anyone in Pennsylvania who land applies manure, via pasture or mechanically, is required to have a manure management plan? This would include something as simple as one horse. Although required, these plans can be very quickly and easily put together. They can even save you money. They are also YOUR plans. They will be kept in your files and will help protect you if for any reason DEP were to stop at your place. The Bradford County Conservation District is here to help you with those plans.
