Roast Beef & Turkey Dinner

The South Creek Lions Club will be having a Roast beef and Turkey Dinner on Saturday April 12th at the Lions Hall Route 14 in Gillett. Dinner begins at 4:30pm. The Menu includes Potatoes, Vegetables, Baked Beans, Home Baked Bread & Pies. Cost is $9.00 per person. Open to the public.

Bingo

Wyalusing Library will be hosting Bingo at the Wyalusing American Legion Post #534 on  March 22 from 1-4pm. All ages are welcome to come and join us. .25/ card. The winner will split the take 50/50 with the library. All proceeds benefit the Wyalusing Public Library.

 
Pancake Supper
There is a pancake supper held the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Vets Club in Troy from 5-7pm. Sponsored by the Ladies Auxillary. This event is open to the public. FMI 570-297-3122.

MU to host Communit Financial Aid Night

 Mansfield University will host a Community Financial Aid Night on Tuesday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 16, 4-7 p.m. in Elliott Hall, Room 108.  Area Agency on Aging

 
B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging is lloking for drivers to deliver meals to the shut-ins. Volunteers are needed in Bradford County - Sayre and Wyalusing areas - to help deliver meals for older persons. Just a few hours a week can make a huge difference to someone in need of meals. Mileage reimbursement is available. For additional information call 1-800-982-4346 (toll-free). 
 
 
 Jimi Hendrix

Spaghetti & All That Jazz Dinner:

Saturday, April 5 from 5-7pm at the Northeast Bradford High School Cafeteria.  Come enjoy a delicious spaghetti dinner with musical entertainment featuring the NEB Jazz Band & Show Choir.  Donations will be accepted at the door, all proceeds benefit the Northeast Bradford Music Department.

A Used Book Sale is scheduled for Saturday, April 12th, from 10am until 2pm at the Towanda Public Library located on 104 Main Street. Hardbacks $1.00, Softbacks $0.50.  The sale benefits the Towanda Public Library.

Easter Egg Hunt

Wells Township will be hosting a Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 12th 11am-1pm. The event is free and open to the public.    Easter Egg Hunt for all ages,   Decorate your own bag for collecting eggs,  Coloring for the kids,  Games and Prizes, Goodies for all to enjoy. The event is being held at the Township Building.

The Sylvania Lions Club will be holding their first BBQ of the season on April 12th. BBQ's will be available around 10am untill all are gone at the Dollar General Store and at the former Calkins Building in Troy.

 

US Army Field Band Jazz Ambassadors set to perform in Troy

The internationally acclaimed U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors of Washington, D.C., will continue its long history of presenting free public performances when it appears at the Troy Jr./Sr. High School Memorial Auditorium onSunday, April 13, at 3:00pm. The annual Meat Show is schedued for Saturday April 12th from 5 thru 10pm at the South Creek Fire Department in Fassett just of Route 14. Tickets available in advance for a donation of $2.00 $5.00 at the door. Refreshment and prizes available. Proceeds benefit the Fire Department.
 
 
Pre-K and EOP/Head Start registration for Elmira district residents

Registration dates are set for the 2014-15 Pre-Kindergarten and EOP/Head Start programs in the Elmira City School District. Three types of Pre-K are offered: a full day district Pre-K program, a full day community partner Pre-K program, and a half day community partner Pre-K program. All programs are offered Mondaythrough Friday beginning September 2014, following the school calendar.  The program is open to district children who will be 4 years old by December 1, 2014. Vintage soda sales benefit Sayre Theatre Anniversary

COST:  $2.00 per tire-with or without rims
           No Tractor  or Dump Truck Tires!

The tires must be free of debris and mud and only car and pickup truck tires are allowed!

There is a limit of 50 tires per resident and is for Chemung County residents only!
